Crystal Lagoons^®, the company behind Balmoral’s signature amenity — Houston’s first crystal-clear lagoon — has just received a ringing endorsement from the most decorated Olympic athlete of all time, Michael Phelps.

The swimmer recently signed on to become the company’s ambassador with the goal of bringing swimming and water sports activities to communities around the world via Crystal Lagoons’ innovative, industry-leading technology that transforms ordinary landscapes into majestic, crystal-clear lagoons.

Michael Phelps is welcome to stop by our beautiful crystal clear lagoon for a swim anytime, once it opens in 2018. We also wouldn’t mind if he wants to try out our paddleboards or catch some sun on one of our three white sand beaches, either!

Recently, the company received green awards for sustainability and low water consumption in Great Britain and the United States. In Britain, Crystal Lagoons was recognized for the second year in a row with the British Green Apple, one of the world’s most important environmental awards. In the United States, the company received the Green Award, presented by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce in Florida, which acknowledges entities and technologies that promote environmental breakthroughs.
